An operations and maintenance–focused 27m crew transfer vessel (CTV) designed in collaboration with offshore wind farm operators to support efficient, repeatable offshore operations.
The RMD 27m CTV is a purpose-designed commercial workboat developed to support offshore wind operations and maintenance activities. Designed for consistent performance, the vessel enables safe and efficient personnel transfer, even when operating at maximum cargo capacity.
The foredeck is configured for operational flexibility and includes multiple tie-down points, ISO fixings for two 10ft containers, a deck crane, anchor winch, fuel and water tank fillers, a 240VAC power supply, and a pressure washer. Dedicated IMDG stowage and appropriate fire protection are incorporated to support offshore operational requirements.
A large wet room is located aft within the deckhouse and includes 28 lockers, storage racks, a heads and shower, and direct access to the aft deck. The main deckhouse features a 28-seat saloon with a forward refreshment area and an additional heads accessible from the saloon.
The wheelhouse is arranged to support extended offshore operations, providing accommodation for four crew, a galley and crew mess, and a well-defined helm layout. The helm station includes a navigation position to port, a central helm, and an engineer’s station to starboard, ensuring clear workflow and operational oversight.
The result is a crew transfer vessel design optimised for offshore wind operations, crew comfort, and long-term operational efficiency.
