A multi-purpose mussel harvester vessel designed with operational efficiency and productivity at its core, supporting demanding offshore and coastal aquaculture operations.
This 20m mussel harvesting vessel is engineered as a high-capacity aquaculture workboat, optimised for efficient harvesting, handling, and transport operations. Featuring a substantial 105 m² working deck and a 20-tonne cargo capacity, the vessel is well suited to intensive mussel farming and harvesting activities.
Constructed in lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium, the design maximises durability while reducing long-term maintenance demands in harsh marine environments. Deck layout and structure are arranged to support continuous daily operation, with a focus on stability, payload handling, and crew safety.
To enhance operational efficiency, the vessel can be configured with a range of propulsion options. A hybrid propulsion system, supplied by Volvo and Danfoss, is recommended to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. However, the platform remains fully flexible, allowing operators to select conventional diesel, hybrid, or fully electric propulsion systems to meet specific operational and regulatory requirements.
The result is a commercial mussel boat design focused on productivity, adaptability, and long-term operational value.
